Using Fooodis POS to Get Started
Using the Point of Sale System:
1. Locate the App section from your dashboard's left sidebar menu. ○ Select App to view a new menu on the left that lists all the applications currently open for your restaurant.
2. To access the Point of Sale interface on the right portion of your screen, locate and choose POS from this list.
3. Enabling Crucial Preferences: Make sure the following options are checked to enable them within the POS interface: ○ Enable POS: This turns on the point-of-sale system. ○ Show External Orders: This option provides access to orders placed over the phone or online that were not placed through the direct point of sale system. ○ Order finished Once Paid: This option sets up the system to record orders as finished automatically when money is received, guaranteeing a smooth transaction process.
4. In order to activate the POS system, please make sure you save your preferences. Congratulations! Your POS system is now activated and ready for use.
First POS Setup
The POS system runs well on iPads or tablets and offers a convenient interface for ordering takeout, delivery, and dine-in. -The table status updates instantly upon receiving a reservation through your booking system, avoiding double bookings.
Order Management Using the Point of Sale System:
1. To get started, choose 'POS' from the 'menu bar' on the left side of your POS dashboard. 2. View your tables and floor plans quickly. To place a new order with a customer, select a table. 3. A table's menu appears when you click on it; it has the same categories as your online menu. 4. You can modify the quantity and variations of a menu item before adding it to your cart by using the pop-up dialog that appears when you choose it. 5. After adding your desired food items to the cart, click on the 'Checkout' button to proceed. 6. A checkout dialogue box will open, displaying all the items you've selected along with their prices.
7.Select your preferred payment method—either card or cash. Confirm the payment to finalize your order. ○ Order Fulfillment: Once an order is completed, it is sent straight to the kitchen display for cooking.
